The Standardized test is intended to asses students’ readiness for college. Depending on where you want to apply, your ACT score can account for about 50% of the admission decision, hence a strong standardized test score is vital.
The total score of ACT ranges between ranging from 1 to 36. In 2019 the average ACT score was a 20.9. At some schools, a 20.9 is high enough — at other schools, you’ll need to score significantly higher in order to secure admittance.
